    Quality of opposititon

I've had a look at the quality of opposition for all the world ranked Frank Warren fighters that I could think of, adding up all their opponents records (won-lost-drawn-winning %)

    Joe Calzaghe (935-285-26) 75%
    Alex Arthur (443-183-13) 69%
    Danny Williams (674-281-32) 68%
    Matt Skelton (402-176-18) 67%
    Amir Khan (269-117-14) 67%
    Scott Harrison (752-350-40) 66%
    Ricky Hatton (822-382-63) 65%
    Michael Sprott (546-269-35) 64%
    Graham Earl (340-222-25) 58%
    Enzo Macc (518-426-60) 52%
    Kevin Mitchell (273-266-24) 48%
    Gavin Rees (351-732-45) 31%

    TOTAL (6325-3689-395) 61%

Now compare that to some other british fighers:

    David Haye (468-212-39) 65%
    Howard Eastman (783-391-51) 64%
    Clinton Woods (732-377-55) 63%
    Nicky Cook (519-331-28) 59%
    Junior Witter (635-405-46) 58%
    Carl Froch (346-258-28) 55%

    TOTAL (3483-1974-247) 61%

And then to some other random world fighters:

    Oscar De La H' (1468-116-43) 90%
    Kostya Tszyu (1107-132-28) 87%
    Floyd Mayweath' (1008-181-43) 82%
    Bernard Hopkins (1123-265-23) 80%
    Paulie Maligna' (328-86-19) 76%
    Mikkel Kessler (889-260-31) 75%
    Ruslan Chagaev (520-275-15) 64%
    Kelly Pavlik (519-279-34) 62%
    Ricardo Torres (194-170-7) 52%
    Chad Dawson (361-416-23) 45%

Would also be interested to know if anyone can find:

    1. A current reigning world champion who has faced worse opposition than Gavin Rees
    2. Any world title winning boxer with a better level of opposition than Oscar De La Hoya

      Oscar De La H' (1468-116-43) 90%
damn.........Oscar is out on his own.

Rees is possibly the champ with the weakest comp that I have ever known. His bout against M'Baye was a random surprise, when he won it was a serious shock. Not only has he faced weak competition, but he should at least be a lightweight if not a super featherweight, dude is what 5'4. Jesus Christ. Fair play to him though. Didn't he have a great amateur pedigree?

Good research. Frank Warren at the moment though has a lot of young fighters up and coming.
