Exactly...Campbell is nothing more than an ESPN fringe-level contender, he always falls short in his big(gest) fights & this will be nothing different...

From what i seen, Campbell has a great right hand counter, it was seen in the Kid Diamond fight, when Diamond throws he stops he leaves himself open and campbell counters and lands. With Diaz how exactly can Campbell he be a counter puncher when Diaz dosent stop punching, you cannot coutner when your spending all your time blocking punches. Even if he does stop punching he covers himself up.

I wouldn't call it a fluke at all Campbell was just a idiot. He ripped Peden to the body and had him out then he stopped to taunt him while Peden was leaning on his chest and then Peden being the professional he is was aware of this and threw a uppercut and took him out.

C'mon, seriously? Really? Essentially we're talking about a fringe contender ESPN fighter vs. the Kingpin, yeah I said it, Kingpin, of the Lightweight division. That's like saying Gatti had a puncher's chance against Mayweather. Diaz TKO Round 9.

                    1. Campbell has been a completely different fighter at 135. He was killing himself at 130 and it hurt his confidence. He has beaten some good opposition at 135 and in vicious form.

                    2. Campbell is a devastating body puncher and Diaz is soft around the midsection.

                    3. Campbell is the biggest puncher with one shot at that division.

                    4. Diaz is in the middle of a big promotional battle with Don King which has garnered more media attention than his fight with Campbell.

                    5. Diaz's last two opponents have given him very soft opposition. Freitas was coming out of retirement and Diaz was semi-retired having won his title when Jesus Chavez broke his leg.

                    6. Diaz is a one-dimensional fighter. Look at Hatton when he was forced to do something else, once the punches stopped coming he folded completely.

                    7. Diaz has excelled with fighters that lack footspeed (Sim, Suico, Angulo, Diaz). They had to fight Diaz's fight. Campbell is a slick boxer-puncher who can take a guy apart body and head and move enough for Diaz to have to reset.

                    8. Campbell is young for his age. He has only been a pro for 8 years, one longer than Diaz. Campbell turned pro at 28 and came up against tougher opposition.

                    9. Diaz has been taking a lot of punishment in recent years and is starting to recess. Against Diaz, his face was marked up and was barely hit. That's the sign of a guy who has been in too many tough fights too soon.

                    10. Diaz only swims to condition himself. In a push and shove fight on the inside with body punches being traded, your legs won't hold up as much as a guy's who does regular roadwork.

I like Nate, he's a really cool dude and was down to earth when we spoke. But that aside, Diaz is a level above. And his track record proves it. I don't believe Nate would have beaten Julio Diaz and maybe not even Acelino, let alone both back-to-back and in convincing fashion.

I'm rooting for Juan because I want to see a Diaz/Pacquiao showdown but if Nate does pull off the upset then good for him.

BTW, in no way is Julio Diaz one-dimensional.

Since he would never do something that ****** again, I consider it a fluke. But like I said, Peden stopped him in the rematch, and to me that shows that Campbell simply isn't a championship level fighter. Some people will say it was because he was in the wrong weight class, but losing to Issac Hlatshwayo dismisses that theory.
