You are very likely to see these words in someone's sig as Hatton fights again in the ww division. He could do well!

Isn't it funny how Cotto is considered a big welterweight? See for yourself:

        boxer: Miguel Angel Cotto
        Global ID 33535
        sex male
        birth date 1980-10-29
        age 27
        manager/agent register
        division welterweight
        rating 2 / 1286
        nationality Puerto Rico
        alias Junito
        residence Caguas, Puerto Rico
        birth place Caguas, Puerto Rico
        stance orthodox
        height 5′ 7″
        reach 67“
        US ID PR060444
        won 31 (KO 25) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 0 = 31

        Yet Hatton:

        boxer: Ricky Hatton
        Global ID 9314
        sex male
        birth date 1978-10-06
        age 29
        manager/agent register
        division light welterweight
        rating 1 / 1169
        nationality United Kingdom
        alias The Hitman
        residence Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom
        birth place Stockport, Greater Manchester
        birth name Richard Hatton
        stance orthodox
        height 5′ 6½″
        reach 65“
        US ID NY049253
        won 43 (KO 31) + lost 1 (KO 1) + drawn 0 = 44

is considered small. WOW what half an inch can do!

I don't consider Cotto a BIG welterweight. He is a natural welterweight who is very strong at that weight, just like Hatton is at 140. Cotto wasn't at his best as a LWW and he would be a bit under-sized as a LMW (but he could succeed because the division isn't very strong).

Williams, Cintron and Margarito are BIG welterweights.

I agree with most that he should fight at LWW

Actually Hatton is not small as a ww. In the Floyd fight he was pressing the fight until round 8, smaller fighters don't push bigger fighters back and considering Floyd is the best at that weight i miss to see how is Hatton small for ww. HE did look worse as a ww than as a jww and the reason is simple: quality of the opposition. That's the only factor. The moment you see Hatton getting bullied you can say crazy stuff like that but until then Hatton is just as fit as Cotto, Margarito or Citron or Mayweather to hang in there. Ok Margarito is bigger than the rest. WOW how will Cotto get by MArgarito? Arum should quickly make that fight disapear

Hatton would get beat by and one from 140 up, he needs to stick to fighting s.featherweights and lightweights.

He'd beat Clottey, Judah, Gomez, Berto, and Quintana.

You grossly underestimate Clottey IMO......Clottey would beat Hatton.
