I rather see Taylor facing Bute, I'm not interested in the Jones fight. Taylor can't gain anything from this fight, if he beats Jones, we will hear Jones was old and if he loses to Jones that's the end of Taylor's career.

This is a dumb move by DiBella.

I actually think Jones could win this, with his Winky style defense and Taylor's low punch output, Jones could pot shot him to a victory.

If this fight actually happens, it could tell us everything needed to know about each fighter at this point in time. Meaning, if Roy struggles against Jermain then maybe he should pack it up or if Jermain struggles maybe he should rework his skills.

Exactly! I don't like this fight at all, both fighters have been on the verge of somewhat redeeming themselves, but this fight could easilly end one of these fighters' carreer. Taylor needs a big win @ 168, I feel Edison Miranda is more beatable than Jones so why don't they do that first. If Taylor comes up short against RJJ after a win against a solid opponent his carreer could still be revived.

I agree, but I think Taylor will lose a lot of fans if he loses a fight against RJJ and might not get a fight at HBO for a long time. Jones would have to reestablish himself AGAIN after a loss against Taylor and at 39 years old we might not see him getting a belt ever again if that were to happen

This fight is interresting, but I would rather see Jones v. Pavlik or Jones v.(Hopkins or Calzaghe). Roy needs to do a few things to cement his legacy before he hangs them up. 1) Beat a super middleweight for a title belt. 2) beat Glenn Johnson by KO or wide decision. 3) Beat the winner of Calzaghe-Hopkins.(which will be Calzaghe.) If he manages to do two or all of these things, I would have to put him in the top 6 of all time easily. A fight and a loss to Taylor is fun but doesnt do anything for Jones after the (2) losses to Pavlik.

roy needs to fight for the SMW title.. make history and call it a day.... fighting elvir and then taylor... is too many fights at this point for roy... if your gonna fight jermain... do it SOON so the hopkins calz fight will be over around the same time...

basically i want roy to possibly take calzaghes belt... and have his retirement fight against glen johnson...

he would of went from middle, to super middle, to light heavy, to heavy, back down to light heavy, and then back down to super middle.. which is REE****YALUSS

and then by beating glen he would of beaten every man hes ever faced
