Does Floyd Deserve his current p4p status

My only problem with that is, he's fighting DLH this year and that's it. He might fight next year or he might not. If he could get Pernell Whitaker to come out of retirement and it made enough money, he would fight him. If he fights one washed up fighter or a bum a year for the next 6 years, does he remain p4p in your book? At some point your skills start to deteriorate (age, inactivity, etc) and you have to prove your worth. Especially when you have someone like Pacquiao, who might fight JMM, then move up to 135 and fight David Diaz, then move up to 140 and fight Hatton, possibly all in the same year. Or say Calzaghe, if he beats Hopkins and then maybe Dawson or Woods and then maybe Pavlik.Comment

So if Floyd fights one tired old fighter a year for the next 10 years, he deserves to remain #1 p4p?
I think he deserves it at this moment, but what about next march or april which it will probably be at least before his next fight (besides DLH.)Comment
