Does Floyd Deserve his current p4p status

Does Floyd Deserve his current p4p status, he wont fight Cotto or any other 147 lbs fighter for that matter he has just picked & fought a 140 lbs fighter rather than face a legit 147 lbs fighter & now he is fighting Oscar Dela Hoya again

u have these other champions around him like Cotto v Mosley,Calzaghe v Kessler ,Hopkins ,Haye V Moremech & Enzo , proving themselves against top fighter & Floyd wnat ot fight Oscar again or pick on little Ricky Hatton

Floyd is the most talented fighter out there that is the only claim he canm ake that i will accepct at the moment untll he steps up the competition

i know Floyd fans hate Miguel Cotto & will point out him fighting Gomez but Cotto recently had the balls to face a man that most people thought would KO him easily in Sugar Shane Mosley ,Cotto was willing to test himself against an Elite fightter for the 1st time and he proved himself so i can accept him facing a lesser oponent in his very next fight

Cotto has fought 13 times since the beginning of 2004 while Mayweather has fought 8 times

i would much rather see him fight cotto (or basically anyone for that matter) other than dlh, but i understand y he's doing it.. With that said, i think he's #1 until he loses or retires

he simply doesn't he sjust keeps repeating himself, pbf flashy and saying he is p4p #1 he says it himself, the fact that he is undefeated, it was left as it is

People accept Cotto fighting a lesser opponent (or not) because he isn't p4p1, if he would, people would get mad.
The 147 pound argument doesn't work.
        Apart from that I agree.

My take on it is the fans should be more demanding when u are p4p because otherwise we get fighter like Floyd doing exaclty what he is doing and earning Millions out of it & getting full recognition for it

hell the guy even retired & he was still placed at number1 p4p ,they should remove his name from the list if he refuses to fight the best or if he is retired

Just to let you know, p4p has little to do with weightclass.

Until someone beats him, yes, he is p4p the best fighter.

What more does he have to do in a year. He beat 2 champions, come one. Now if he doesnt do anything this year then NEXT YEAR he should not be p4p king. Why not ask if Cotto deserves his place because he has been inactive longer than Floyd. Cotto fought in November, Floyd fought in
December. Please talk with facts and not out of your ass before you ask dumb questions.

Mayweather could easily go fight Cotto in his next fight, beat him, and people would still keep throwing out names for him to fight. The **** never stops, there's no solutions. Every boxer in history has had their share of critics.
