Joe Calzaghe flies to America today for a press tour with Bernard Hopkins - with a pair of fine cashmere socks to give to the world's number one light-heavyweight. yeah, this is all new to Joe. I swear he never used to do this.
Aside from telling Robin Reid that he was 'the better fighter and better looking'..or something like that.
He never said anything bad about Lacy, whose management and himself insulted Joe a few times. He was always complimentary about Kessler.
I think Joe has learn't to play the game. Hatton smack talked Mayweather...lol.
I think they have realised that it does help sell fights. Though if they did that all the time, nobody would like them all that much it wouldn't work. Not over here. It's all for the benefit of an American audience.Comment
