  • I think Calzaghe is the best SMW ever.

I really do. I think this guy is yet to even deliver his best aswell.

    Scary i know.

But Joe is destined for further greatness.

I think he will do this before retiring:

    Hopkins

    RJJ

    Pavlik.

    All fights he will win.

Let me guess, you're a biased british 'boxing fan' that hypes all of your fighters up?

    Things like this disgust me.

Nope. Nothing to do with Britain. Just a big Calzaghe fan.

I hate the place. Cold and wet and miserable.

The Slap as a Boxer is FAR better than his accomplishments. We rate fighters in history on their accomplishments first, then as a fighter. We need to see many impressive things, that includes level of competition. Slapzaghe had his chances earlier in his career, he has been around for so long, he could have built a great record by fighting the best in an older era(the era before this). People give nonsense that everybody ducked him. But they should be ignored because they're British and you can't take them serious.

The fighters that are left for him, since he wants the big legendary names, will do nothing for his legacy since people will say he just beats old men.

Kessler will beat some major names over the next few years. It will speak volumes of how Calzaghe dominated him.

Maybe, we'll just have to wait and see. What about the rest? Lacy is done, they'll say Hopkins and Jones(if he even beats them) are old or washed up.

Nope. Not when Hopkins beat Winky who is still in most peoples P4P top 10.

Lacy, well yes he is done.

I bet you wern't saying Lacy was done before the fight! The next-Mike Tyson was all we got from the American press. Then Calz completely dominates the guy and all of a sudden he's useless.

To dominate a guy the way that he did even of Lacy's now apparent mediocre pedigree at the elite-level; that was still a truly great performance.

And for me the fight against Kessler means he's proved all he has to. And surprise, surprise following the fight we get the chorus from the rest of the boxing world of "yeah but actually how good was Kessler". As you rightly point out we will have to see, EXACTLY how good. But you dont beat guys like Beyer, Andrade and Mundine without being a quality fighter. I think he will dominate a now very competitive SMW division.

No mate your a ****ing biased prick. You insult british boxing fans in general and cant admitt that Joe Calzaghe is a great fighter. yes lacy is done, but only after what joe did to him and we will see about kessler and popkins is top ten p4p in a lot of peoples opinions so when joe beats him to hell and back you will understand how good he is.

the top names did not fight him cause no one had heard of him so it was too much of a risk
