      • Cheers to everyone who wanted Kelly to Win!!!

        Cheers!
What a hard-fought victory for Pavlik.
He didn't let Taylor off the hook the whole fight.
        He wanted it more.
Pavlik's will is greater than Taylor's skill, that's why he won!
For all you people arguing the decision, look and the punch-stats, I feel sorry for the people who wanted Jermaine to win, it was a hard one to dish.

BUT, for the people who wanted Kelly to win, CHEERS!!!

Taylor could have had him but his work rate ******
It was a close fight and much less a bad decision than Taylor/Wright, Taylor Spinks, Bhop/Taylo I & II.

              The Ten Point Must System

Each judge scores each round using the following criteria:

              Clean Punching (25%) Slightly Taylor
              Effective Aggression (25%) Clearly Pavlik
              Ring Generalship (25%) Slighty Pavlik
              Defense (25%) Even

Clean punches are above the waist, on the front or sides of the body or head, and with the knuckle of the glove. The judge must determine if one boxer is landing more clean punches than the other.
Effective Aggression means landing punches while moving forward. If a fighter is aggressive but not landing punches, that does not count as effective aggression.

Ring Generalship means who is controlling the action in the ring, using strategy and skills beyond straight punching power. Is one fighter using agility and feinting to throw his opponent off guard? Or setting up his opponent for effective combinations? When one fighter moves the other around the ring at will, that fighter is displaying ring generalship.

Defense refers to a fighter's success at avoiding blows. This can be accomplished by blocking, bobbing, weaving, good footwork, and/or good movement.

Each of these criteria is supposed to be given equal weight (25%), although there's some dispute as to whether that actually happens.
Defense even? Are you ****ing insane?

I have no allegiance to either fighters so I scored the fight as a neutral with no bias, and if you think this fight was a robbery then I see why USA has a problem with terrible judges. It was a CLOSE fight, but Taylor was too inactive in many rounds. Connecting with 2 or 3 nice shots in the last 30 seconds does not win you the round. He was also very wasteful with his punches and missed a lot. Pavlik on the other hand was busy and bossed many of the rounds.

I scored the fight 115-113 for Pavlik. No robbery here, a close fight between two world class fighters who gave their all though. I know this board has its fair share of ******s but some of the posts I have seen this morning has really shocked me.

                • I'm french and i think the scoring was pretty close but Pav controled the fight all the way so to me the decision was fair.
Even if it was not a championship fight, you got to do more than that to deserve a win over a world champion and moreover to take his 0 out.

PS: I precise that i'm french to show that we are not all thinking Taylor was robbed, as well as we are not all liking snails or frog legs (which i do love so), we are not all spoiling a good boxing forum with 12 yo insult or any other.
