I too had it 116-113 Pavlik. While Jermain was sharper, he didn't control the fight and LET Pavlik outwork him and hustle the victory away. Pavlik just plained fought for 3min a round, while Taylor fought for 30sec a round. It wasn't even close to a robbery, it was just plain a close fight. And Pavlik outhustled Taylor to victory.

I was up for Pavlik (and I won some money on him) but I think it was a bull**** decision.

Observations:
Taylor consistently landed the more meaningful punches. His jab was excellent. Counterpunching was superb. He looked hungry. His defence was MUCH improved. He worked the body well.

Pavlik seemed sluggish. Didn't exploit the body properly until round 11 and when he did it worked. Pavlik's corner didn't give meaningful advice, after round 6 all they could tell him to do was "spit into the bucket" etc.

As a fan of Pavlik im slightly worried by that performance.

I didnt say nose bleeding has anything to do with who loses. I just replied to someone who said Taylors face looked worse than Pavliks.

Pavlik won the last 2 rounds i think but he lost the fight in my book. It was close but he was outboxed in almost all rounds. I take that away, it wasn't very close.,

It was definitely a close fight but I think Kelly did enough to ESCAPE with the win. I would've loved to see a SD or a draw as it would lead up to a potentially big third fight. As it stands, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kelly and JT wind up fighting for a SMW title. Respect to both guys!
