Prime Hopkins vs Prime Eubank

I haven't got a clue when Hopkins's prime is supposed to have been/suppose to be but the Hopkins of the 90s completely out-works Eubank IMO, the clips I've seen.

Before the Watson fight I thought Eubank was the complete package. A lot of people forget that he could really ****. After Watson's tragic injury he stopped throwing bombs.
I've no idea who'd win but I know it would go 12 rounds.

I saw him in the Anthony Logan fight, his first fight on ITV, and I, like everyone else, was really impressed. He was unloading with ****ing everything, left uppercuts, combinations, everything, just loading and loading despite it being tough and close. Then I saw him about a year later against Denys Cronin in his backyard, and he gave him a right uppercut that makes Roy Jones's left hook on Toney and behind-the-back punch on Kelly look ordinary. I, like everyone else, thought 'this guy is the real-****ing-deal'.
But he only threw a jab and a few body shots after the Watson tragedy, and was often on his bike.

Eubank had awfull technique IMO ,Hopkins is to good at counter punching for Eubank and is a much smarter ring general
Eubank attacking Boxing was really bad he always fell short with his punches ,Hopkins would counter the **** out of him if he did that

Eubank was a very, very smart ring general, he liked to fight in spurts and the fact he was able to fight in spurts against 20 world title challengers in a row who said they were going to pressure him is proof. He'd throw a few hard jabs early doors and then would be able to feint with the left hand to keep a guy off him, and used multi-directional movement to get a guy off-balance when he had to. He did it very cleverly. But Hopkins is taller and rangier and with better timing than any of Eubank's 20 world title challengers, and truly relentless (90s version).
But I agree, his balance on the front foot was terrible. He tried to throw jabs and body shots from out of range if a guy stood off and it didn't look good, if a guy backed off and Eubank had to come forward he looked plain terrible! But on the back foot, Eubank is about as good as it gets, though I feel a 90s Hopkins would have his number.

i agree Eubank was better on the backfoot but the guys Eubank was fighting were less than impressive ,One things for sure Eubank never faced a fighter as defensively sound as Hopkins and as good a counter puncher as Hopkins
