Seems like every other fighter takes chances but not flloyd???

Yea that,s right ,all the good matches are being made in boxing right now ...just my opinion that they need more better matches like marg vs. cintron even though we seen this before at least its a good match. taylor vs. pavlik, paul williams vs. quintana you get my point...at least these fighter are willing to put up or shut up... and not taking year off and be able to keep there rating as p4p no.1... and that,s why he will never be at the top of boxing all time greats, because these guys didn,t know what ducking meant...those words were a insult in the good ole days...and the only other fighter that ducked a fighter was sugar ray against arron pryor...because ray knew he could have hit pryor with a bat and he would have kept coming, so shame on ray...so all you people who repect a fighter that fight these guys like a older dela hoya, older shane mosley, a blown up welter no defense ricky hatton and not the younger true welters of the division are not legitimate fans to the sport...back in the days they fought for less and i mean way less than what they receive now to fight, but they put there heart and soul in the sport and that,s the difference...

I wish he would fight better opponents, such as Cotto, but lets face it, he doesn't call himself Money Mayweather for nothing, that's all he really cares about at this stage in his career - the big paychecks. ODH probably will pay the most, but after that he wont have any other choice but to fight Cotto (probably early next year).

Well Cotto is fighting Gomez! Tune up anyone? I think Mayweather and Cotto are going to have to fight sooner or later. Unfortunately I think it will be in 2009.

everyone said oscar and hatton would beat him, after floyd beat both they made uxcuses saying Oscar is past his prime and Hatton is a blown up welterweight, but before the hatton fight nobody said anything about being a welterweight and a smaller man,

They all hate on the best....

It is a real shame that this fight never happened. I wasn't born until 82 so I didn't get to follow his career. So I can't say if he ducked him or not. I remember seeing footage of Pryor asking Leonard publicly to fight him at a press conference or something. Leonard seemed a bit elusive. I think it was right after his Arguello wins.

With all of that said, Leonard did fight and beat some great fighters so even if he did "duck" the Hawk, he still has a HOF resume.

You guys make no sense. How can you say that when Floyd has a better resume then pretty much everyone in boxing and he's done it in different weight classes. EVery guy you just named is in the same exact class they started in. Let them go up 4 divisions and clear it out and then you can talk about Floyd.

Also lets be real, how are those matchups risk? There not risk at all. Williams fighting Quintana is a risk? Come on now. Everyone wouldve picked Williams to kill him pretty much. Margarito vs Cintron is a risk? Who else are they going to fight? Neither guy has hardly any good wins on there resume. Whats so risky about that? There supposed to be fighting eachother. Pavlik vs Taylor? Taylor is trying to just go straight back at Pavlik because he knows that it will take him forever to get back to that spot if he doesnt accept it now. Plus he did drop Pavlik and this fight will be at a bigger weight so he probally thinks he will definatly win. Pavlik just killed Taylor so you know he has no fear of him. Come on. Risk is fighting a undefeated Chico who has been killing everyone and is 10x the size of you. Risk is fighting a huge monster like a prime Castillo in your 1st fight at the weight and giving him an immediate rematch to show why you are the best. Risk is fighting a very good Oscar who just decapitaed Mayorga at 154 when you arent even a real WW and he outweighs you by a ton. Thats risk
