Carlos Quintana Discusses Shane Mosley Bout

The momentum appears to be building for Carlos Quintana to defend his WBO welterweight title against Shane Mosley on May 31. It's a good fight for Mosley. Shane should beat him.

Good fight. Quintana would be a good gage for where Mosley is at this point. If Quintana wins, he can still say he beat a game fighter. Both have something to gain, and both have a lot to lose. Usually brings out the best fights.

Good fight, if Shane wins we may well see a Cotto vs Mosley 2.

I dont see Quintana beating Margarito, he would try to outbox him but I dont think He could take Margaritos punches after a couple rounds.

This would be a good fight for both guys. Mosely would have a chance at another belt and keep him in the mix for big fights and for Quintana it would be a nice payday that he earned. Plus if Quintana were to win or give a solid close performance he could get good paydays down the road.

what does margarito have to do with all this?

i dont like shanes chances anymore against top competition... after watching the cotto fight... yes it was close... but shane was getting hit a lot.. he wasnt getting off like he used too... he wasnt moving in and out, or using a lot of head movement like he used too... im just not sure

Margarito is the WBO #1 mandatory for Quintana but only has a few days left to notify them if he wants the title shot. It appears he might stick with the IBF match with Cintron though.
