This is the pussification that boxing has come to? Hoping the fighters are politically correct? Not saying anything at all that's controversial? LOL. Go watch football or something.LOL. Hopkins is one of the smartest fighters around, especially in terms of his boxing history. If you honestly think he believes that no white fighters from the passed could hold their own, you're insane. It's called promotions. Don't like it, don't listen to him. Pretty simple ****.
Freedom of speech, people. Not a fan of it, get a bill passed that says, "Only say things, that I, (your name here), agrees with."Comment

Critics accuse him to have made changes like the extra divisions to make more money from sanctioning fees and reduced rounds to accommodate television. He is also known to be very close to promoter [Don King (boxing promoter)|[Don King]] , many King fighters are placed highly in his ratings. The Ring Magazine has thus called him "a swell guy to have lunch with but you better count the silver afterwards". He was introduced into the International Boxing Hall of Fame on June 10, 2006[2].

I know. Some people just get to uptight about some simple stuff. When the fight is over... Hopkins is going to show sportsmanship and congratulate Calzaghe on a good fight. (just my opinion)Comment

SO? Just because you would think something like that doesnt mean that all boxers would think like that. Thats like saying that all white chess players think that they will never lose to a black chess player when sitting down to duel. If anything, a boxer should beleive he can beat anyone in front of him. Otherwise, he should be in another sport. Keep those crap comments to yourself.Comment
Seriously, people act like if Hopkins wins, he'll say "HA, this is proof that the black man rules! Down with whitey!" right before he punches Larry Merchant, and holds up a fist for black power, right before he's escorted out of the ring by the Black Panthers.Comment
Sorry, I am so late in my reply. I'm at work. What I was trying to say, is that the previous person who commented was stereotyping all african decent boxers. I was simply explaining that he is saying about the same as if we were talking about a comparable white chess player stereotype. In other words: Not all black boxers think they shouldnt get beat by a white boxer and not all white chess players think they shouldnt get beat by a black chess player. (based on the fact that chess is dominated mostly by whites and boxing is or was mostly dominated by blacks.)Comment
