dude, that fat corrupt crook needs to keep his fat trap shut, and not even be involved in any of this fight promotion or anything to do with this fight.

first off, the comment by hopkins was to entice calzaghe to sign the fight, and second, it wasn't something that hopkins has continually kept on saying over and over again, so it's not his main motivation and it's not his main hype for the fight, but all the softies in the world and the emotionally weak have a continual problem with it because they're crybabies.

i'm white, although i have latin blood, and grew up in a racially mixed neighborhood, "white boy" comments is something along the lines as trash talk, it's something that people of color say in the heat and spirit of immediate competition, and anyone who knows BETTER knows that it wasn't something that drives him (hopkins) as a person, otherwise he wouldn't be partners with other people of color as well as the white people that work with him at GBP, they know it's all about competition.

people are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. seriously, if it was that big and bad of a racial comment then the fight wouldn't be made and hopkins would've been forced out of boxing and out of the public eye.

this fat corrupt boxing politician is just trying to cause a stir and nothing more, other then trying to cash in on it in some way or another.

i know for a fact that all races of fighters, especially mexicans, like the challenge of fighting other races. just ask any mexican what is their dream match up and they will pick a mexican fighter against a black fighter about 99% of the time. they won't pick a mexican vs a mexican. the point that i'm making is that race is a factor for guys who fight for their countries pride and color is a part of that too.

my message to people, grow thicker skin if it bothers you, because you're going to need it, life is rough and certainly not fair, and if you thinks it's fair or should be, well buddy you already lost!!!!!!!!!!! put a bullet in your head and start over.

              That's Not A Slur, It's An Opinion

I can understand why people have a problem with what B-hop said - only because he said it in public. But it's not the same as saying, "I hate white people" or something similar. You can't compare it to what white people have said in the past because I can't ever recall hearing a white person say, "I'll never let a black boy beat me!" Have any of you heard that? I don't think so. He's stating what is a trend in boxing that he feels will continue. Now, I'm not saying white boxers have never beat black boxers - that would be untrue - look at Pavlik/Taylor and Pavlik and other people for that matter. But let's be honest and look at the track record, it's not like it's a 50/50 thing. That's like if John McCain comes out and says "I'll never let a Black man beat me in an election." People would be outraged because it's politically incorrect, but basically he's just stating that it percentage-wise is an absolutely unlikely thing to happen.
