Your right it sounds like a good fight for Vasquez money wise as no doubt fighting Barrera would give him his highest payday.

lol This pisses me off, but at the same time this show's how great Raphael Marquez is/was considered.

Because before the Raph fights, Israel was just that guy that had 3 great fights with Jhonny Gonzalez, but now that he's beatin Raph, he's gettin all this attention.

Raph will always be the better fighter, its just Izzy is a naturally bigger beast.

I hope Raph has picked up some headmovement in these past months though.

i hope MAB does come back he has enough left to beat the likes of Vazquez ,i think Barrera would have destroyed Marquez in his prime the fact he had to adapt his game cause of age IE Rocky Juarez is 1 of the main reasons he lost to Marquez IMO and he still managed to have Marquez over

Seeing the way MAB struggled with Juarez (the first time anyway) and seeing the way JMM dominated him (Rocky), I can't help but think he doesn't have nearly enough left in the tank for Vasquez. But I wish him the best.

to be honest u might be right ,the old Barrera would have had a war with Vasquez & probably came out on top but old fighters struggle with stamina etc, it is hard for them to sustain action for long periods like they used to be able to in thier prime

i am a big MAB fan & would like to se him fight again

Barrera is the man he is more technical in the ring Yeah he did lose to PAC 2 times but maybe He would have lost to him if he fought him ten times. In my opinion PAC is the guy that MAB will not beat. As far as JMM goes some people make it seem like JMM walked all over MAB which was not the case. I think Barrera can beat Israel. Maybe I'am just speaking with my heart but if he conditions well he can win.

Remember R Juarez,PAC, and JMM never knocked MAB out and they all carry a big punch.

Stay retired Marco, before you lose your dignity. Challenging a fighter from two divisions lower is a defintely a step in that direction.

May be he think Izzy deserves a good pay day and he is giving him that. It's not like Izzy is a bum.
