but someone like winky who goes, what 15+ pounds over his usual fighting weight for the first time have a valid argument. yes he chose to do that fight but the guy just wants a pay day. yes you can say he lost fair and square but you can't say bernard is a better fighter based on that fight
but winky in the search of money made a mistake and gave up that much weight. so it shows that he might be gutsy but not that smart now he has an L. i dont see it as weight drained or blown up or past prime i see it as bad desicion makeing

i hate when a fighter runs and throws one punch a round for 8 rounds, then fights the last 4 well and claims he got robbed...

Yeah me too. I love it though when a fighter completely takes the 12th round off in a very close fight and then storms out of the ring not even giving an interview in a fight he thought he won and was robbed.

All of them, any excuse is annoying IMO.

Winky really only had to come up 10 pounds to 170 (when he had been fighting at 160 for two years) and Bernard had to come down 5.

That really is only then a 5 pound difference lost. Besides I honestly don't believe the weight issue had anything to do with Winky losing. He just wasn't landing cleanly and his agression wasn't effective.

Anyway, I don't want this to turn into a Bernard vs Winky discussion, so let's bring it back at hand here. The "blown up" issue isn't really that big of a deal. Winky Wright for example has almost the perfect style to go up in weight and compete sucessfully at. People like Basillo had the agression factor that gave him an advantage at the higher weight.

                  I voted "Other"

And what I have in mind specifically:

                  "I hurt my hand"

lol Gatti shattered his hand in the 4th round, finished the fight throwing punches with it. Not a second went by when he altered his style or began to complain outright..........he just grimaced.

In fact the announcing crew made a bigger deal out of it that than he did.

Maybe other fighters can take a page out of his book...........and more specifically follow a code that is silently implied when a person is getting paid millions of dollars to beat the **** out of someone on television.

You don't ****ing ***** out. Or else let someone else get the paycheck.

                      lol @ the winky subliminal

i still say weight affected him, since he was winning the first half of the fight IMO, then faded and lost the later rounds
