I still need to see the Hopkins Wright fight. That will obviously give me a better assessment as to how he will do. Especially since Winky sort of turned into a volume puncher recently

i don't think that will give you a good assement because is to differnent than joe. winky has that damn shell defense which is hard to break i looked at the keith holmes and tito fight cause of there style holmes was taller and big and was known for jabbing alot and tito cause i loved it plus he is a come forward type of fighter

No offense, but often people mistake the confusion and disdain that classy people feel in front of classless people for "fear." It's not fear, if you don't have real class, if you don't have a solid background and a certain degree of self-respect, you probably don't get it.

I wouldn't say that. Be honest, it somewhat puts you on guard when you know you have a live-wire in front of you. Someone who really doesn't give a **** about putting his hands on you, taking a jab at you in front of however many people are around. It might not be full on "fear" but your slightly nervous. And that shouldn't be confused with "disdain."

Sorry, I am so late in my reply. I'm at work. What I was trying to say, is that the previous person who commented was stereotyping all african decent boxers. I was simply explaining that he is saying about the same as if we were talking about a comparable white chess player stereotype. In other words: Not all black boxers think they shouldnt get beat by a white boxer and not all white chess players think they shouldnt get beat by a black chess player. (based on the fact that chess is dominated mostly by whites and boxing is or was mostly dominated by blacks.)

The only problem with those fights is that they were so long ago. I don't think he has the speed or reaction time to pull of some of the things he was doing back in '01.

I'm sorry dude but if calzaghe gets the same hopkins that tarver got calzaghe is in for a looooooong night. and there is no reason why hopkins wont be in the same condition and fight the same fight he did against tarver. hopkins is a smart fighter and waaay better then anything joe has faced.
