Hopkins is capable of anything now

You see it. Hopkins will play the race card, he will do absolutely anything to win a fight. Calzaghe don't know what he is dealing with here. He will say or DO anything to beat Joe. he might slap him, he might spit on him, he might who knows what he might do, he gave Tito rice and beans, heads UP JOE! keep you head UP

Joe has the skills and the talent to beat Hopkins but he won't because Hopkins will find a way to f*** Joe up mentally. he will. he always does.

i'm telling you all this fight is going to be huge. it's going to be interesting beyond belief, hype like we have never seen before. true real hype, no BS from Bernard Hopkins. Joe could be in for it.

BHPS will to win is 10 times stronger than anytig Joe has seen. I dont think Joe is ready for this. He picked this fight with Hops now he gotta deal with the EXECUTIONER>

it sounds good in theory but the reality is that Hopkins is a 43 year old post prime fighter who struggled to beat winky wright. I dont think after 10 years as champion, a few lazy insults from Hopkins is going to throw him off an entire fight.

Steve Collins found a way to beat the undefeated Chris Eubank mentally.

I don't think Calzaghe is as insecure as Eubank was though. Hopkins will have a hard time trying, Calzaghe seems very confident to me.

Only way Hopkins can beat Calzaghe is if he has something left offensively.
He can't win this fight with simple defense and that's the only thing I think he has left at 43 years of age, his defense.
Even that could go any day now if his reflexes slow down to the point he can't see the punches coming anymore and Calzaghe will throw many.

Hopkins is probably the p4p king at playing mind games with his opponents, currently. I'm not sure who else out there is really good at it these days, you normally hear the typical boring trash talk, like "imma whoop his ass!" or somethin weak, but Hopkins takes it another level, talking about Joe's father, the British, race, etc. He's good at it.

You do realize that, for example, using a race card against someone like Calzaghe would not make much effect.

I mean he will roll with it, but deep down he is just laughing at Hopkins's naivity.

race probably didn't effect Joe at all, but talking about his father might strike a nerve. We'll see how far Hopkins is willing to go (hopefully much further)

Bernard will probably weigh in at 168 or so and be in shape for this fight. He will go all out and seem to be losing the fight until he takes over late and stop Calz in the 10th round and walk away from boxing on top.

I'm really sick of everyone talking about Bernard Hopkins, saying,"Oh he's a racist!" He's just saying this to sell the fight, he's always done something controversial trying to increase those ppv buys. And, Floyd Mayweather did something similar. Remember when Floyd stepped in the ring against Oscar he came out with the Mexican flag trunks and a giant sombrero. No one said that was racist or "nationalistic" that was just funny. See, I think there's just a lot of white people on this site that were personally offended.
