Williams has a lot of class. He's so graceful in defeat. His mentality is such that he may recover. His perspective is on point.

He wasn't beaten up or anything. He's not going to have psychological difficulties from this.

The only thing to worry about with him is whether he can correct his technical flaws, which are hardly insignificant.

People though Mayweather would have trouble hitting him. But the opening are obvious to any fan, so a great fighter like Mayweather, even Cotto, Mosley, Judah, etc. would have a field day picking shots on him.

But the man will fight and he's awkward enough not to be thoroughly beaten, except by Mayweather and Cotto.

He'll be back. Hopefully he can get another solid opponent with a name. I don't think he'll ever get to fight Cotto now that he lost. He needs to maybe get a rematch or fight a couple of fights. And maybe get a fight with Cintron? Not sure. But one loss isn't going to kill him. He has a great attitude and his heart, will, chin, and stamina will definitely keep him up there as a top fighter in the years to come.

            Williams has no excuses.
He got beat by the better fighter.
He needs to go back to the gym and work on his boxing skills more and stop brawling.

Liked him before the fight and after!!!! Gotta like a classy loser. I think he can still become a threat in the WW division although I would like to see him put some muscle and weight on and move up a little bit!!!!

Editor: At what point in the fight did you feel it was going to be a long night for you?

Paul Williams: In the 1st round, I knew I couldn't get into my rhythym like I wanted to. It was around the 3rd round, that's when I knew I was in a bit of trouble. I told myself, I was going to suck it up, and keep pushing my will. Whatever I have to do, I'm going to try. I didn't go to the body like I was suppossed to, like we've been working on in training camp. I was mostly going for the head. He was moving, slipping and sliding. I don't make excuses, I just didn't show up.

Editor: You said that you couldn't get off tonight. Did that happen at all during training camp?

PW: I'm not going to make any excuses, or nothing, sir. All I can say is, I didn't get off. Training camp went well, I had good sparring partners, everything went swell. Quintana was the man tonight. He showed up, and took the championship. He took the belt from the champ.

Editor: What can you do to make sure that next time you fight him, or next time you fight at all, that you will be able to get off?

PW: I've just got to go back to the drawing board. We'll sit down, we'll go over the tape, and I'll get my strategy again. I'll try something different.

Editor: Do you want your next fight to be against Carlos Quintana?

PW: It don't matter. I'll definitely take another fight with him, whenever I get these stitches out. I'm going to go my manager, Mr. Peterson, and Al and Dan, and figure out who I'm going to fight. My main thing is getting back home, and going fishing and stuff. I just want to relax.

Gotta love Paul's sportsmanship. I'm still a fan and he will be back folks! Paul just showed some of you guys what type of guy he is.(a very Humble type of guy)

Mark my words!!!! WILLIAMS WILL RETURN. You can bet on that!!!
