I agree with the Hatton/Mayweather stoppage. But in no way do I think the Pavlik/Taylor fight should have been stopped in round 2. He didn't prevent Taylor from winning. Taylor's inability to finish Pavlik prevented him from winning. In Hatton's case... even if he had gotten up, he was still going to lose. This was not the case with Pavlik.

The illegal hits? Are you referring to the illegal hit that didn't actually hit anyone or the use of the elbows because the latter wasn't punished.

You're not understanding, the person is asking favorite ref, as in who is the most fair referee in your opinion. The refs don't fight. Like someone said, in the Taylor fight, most refs would have ended it as a KO2 for Taylor, but Smoger, being an experienced ref, let the fight continue and because of him, the one who deserved the match got it.
