Who are the top 3 Welterweights at this point?

    Who do you think ?

    I would probaly say:

    1. Cotto
    2. Mayweather
    3. Quintana

And with Williams out of the picture, it's no longer "Hey Floyd, you should fight either Williams or Cotto ..!" Now it's "Fight Cotto, you *****!"

Floyd is one of my favorite fighters, I'm just sick of his business ****... Just fight Cotto and get over with it, win lose or draw, it's no shame losing to a top welterweight in Cotto, whos in his prime.

      I say its

      1. Mayweather
      2. Cotto
      3. Oscar De La Hoya

If Oscar is really serious about 147 I think he beats the other contenders

        Very simple.

1)PBF (if he is not retired)
        2)Cotto

rest are a grab bag of tough contenders with many having debatable positions for number 3. Number 3 debatable numbers 1 and 2 not debatable.

It's not easy to pick the third. It could be Shane Mosley, could be Margarito. Cintron? There a clear one, a clear two, then about six other very good ones

kessler i must agree with you mayweather is using that excuse and thats why he has no tru boxing fans.. cotto is a warrior hes fought the best and mayweather knows it..cintron has emanuel now and hits very very hard.quintana a great boxer and hasnt yet proved to me yet to some degree but he did come in with a plan for williams..

                1 Miguel Cotto
                2 Floyd Mayweather Jr
                3 Kermit Cintron

..Quintana JUST won the title so even now at this point you have to give the spot to the longer running champion, Kermit holds the belt and defended it already despite any back lash but Quintana JUST won and was an under dog so even after victory you can't just jump him up there behind Floyd, he's certainly number 4 IMO but you DO have to consider Cintron here as a longer reigning champion. Margarito is a good 5th right around Shane, Berto, Clottey and guys of such.
