Jones Jr would've beaten all of them, with KO's and wide UD's for some of them. He wouldn't have a close match with anyone of those guys.Comment

Why does everyone always say that Bernard wasn't prime when Roy beat him?? What the hell, a 27 year old Hopkins was a totally different beast than the over 35 or even early 30's (Hopkins was actually proactive and aggressive in his 20's) Hopkins so why does Roy get less credit for beating him?? BS....Comment

Bernard started his pro career at a late age in 1988, lost his first fight, went inactive and came back in 1990.Why does everyone always say that Bernard wasn't prime when Roy beat him?? Hopkins was quite unknown when he faced Roy in 1993 (had fought just 3 years actively as a pro) and hadn't faced any top opposition, his best wins coming over the USBA champion Wayne Powell and a tough journeyman Gilbert Baptist.
Roy on the other hand was a highly touted prospect because of his amateur career and because he had impressively beaten some former title challengers like Glenn Wolfe, Jorge Castro and Jorge Vaca.
Roy wasn't at his best either though, he had only fought for 4 years as a pro and had 21 fights. Hopkins had 23.
If you watch the fight you will notice that Hopkins' style is very different indeed from the style he uses today, he is more of a pressure fighter and he didn't fight with experience and intelligence.
Hopkins' best years were from late 90's to early 2000's.Last edited by TheGreatA; 02-11-2008, 01:56 PM.Comment

]QUOTE=Degsy;3128621]Roy would have knocked Sven Ottke out in Germany for a well deserved Draw!! He would punch so quickly that that fat **** Belgian ref wouldn't have time to call foul.[/QUOTE]
