What about Wilfredo Benitez? A lot of the guys mentioned here are not even in his class. If you really know boxing, The Bible of Boxing is the guy.

In his prime Benitez was a brilliant defensive fighter. He would avoid punches with just the slightest movement. Unfortunately, drug abuse and poor training caught up with Benitez, and he ended up being punch drunk.

Yeah, El Radar's story is very sad.

            -footwork
            -blocking
            -lateral movement
            - upperbody movement.

pernell relied heavily on lateral movement and upperbody movement, but didnt use blocking that much. Same goes for willie.
            thats rite. we agree again.

              I think Floyd is.

He gets hit flush, less than anyone I've ever seen fight. And that takes into consideration Pernell Whitaker.

His defense is like new breed.

                Mayweather vs Judah

                Mayweather vs Castillo

                Mayweather vs De La Hoya

Floyd isn't impossible to hit but very hard obviously. I'm not sure if I would call him the best defensive artist to be honest, it's not easy to say who is the best.
He deserves a mention among the best defensive fighters though.

lol dude. Those are three fights.

That's the best example of hating on someone I've ever seen. Everyone else who has watched him fight throughout his career knows he's maybe the best defensive fighter they've ever seen at some level.
