So I'm not sure the weight is as big as some think. I know in mma (something I'm more familiar with in terms of cutting weight) people re-hydrate 20 lbs easily and it doesn't affect them what so ever if their body is used to it.
Yeah, but in MMA they're fighting what, 3 five minute rounds?

Had me thinking though, Pavlik says he's weighing 166-167 right now, while eating like a pig. Seems like he could do the same Sh%$ as Williams and melt down to WW. Imagine how that would shake up the division!

when was the last time you had to make weight? and what makes you think youre some kind of authority on the subject? pavlik and williams are two different men with different genetic makeups, whats good for the goose isnt good for the gander in this case. pavlik is nowhere near as skinny as williams and couldnt make 154 much less 147.

williams isnt cutting any more natural weight than your average boxer, youre acting like he walks around at 190.

I made weight for 4 years in high school wrestling and had to cut as much as 12 pounds in two days to make weight, so I think I'm qualified.

Williams is cutting a lot more weight than your average boxer, and his rehydrating 17 pounds overnight proves it.

Pavlik could easily make 154, if he's truly walking around at 166 right now.

I trully feel there was something really wrong with Williams in that fight. I am not a big fan of him anyway but I can tell that he was far from himself in almost every way.

i dont think williams is cutting more than 12 pounds in the last two days.

and i think his adding 17 pounds proves that he tried to take a natural advantage too far and ended up bogging down and was sluggish as a result.

i dont believe either that pavlik was walking around at the contracted weight weeks ahead of schedule, its just a way of getting in taylors head

I hope your right. I know Taylor is going to come into the ring at about 175-176, and I'd hate for him to have a 10 pound advantage over Kelly in the rematch.
