Rematch is necessary. Williams didn't have the juice in his hands to guide those combinations tonight for whatever reason. He looked rusty to me. It's been 7 months since the Marg fight. He should have taken something small, even, just to get some work in, in November. This was not the Paul Williams I've seen before. If he would have thrown 1000 punches and still produced the same outcome, I'd accept that he isn't what I thought he was, but that wasn't the case. Something was wrong with him tonight. He wasn't all there. The fluidity he displayed in the past was absent. Again, I blame his camp for keeping him in a freezer for 7 months. He should have parlayed his victory by staying active and getting his name out there. Now he's stuck without a zero, and the casual fan still doesn't know who the **** he is. That said, I think he beats Quintana in a rematch. Paul didn't get punished. That's contrived bull****. He was more willing to keep fighting after 12 rounds than Quintana. Paul was the one trying to trade shots in the late rounds. He just didn't land enough. Or throw enough. Quintana fought great, but he fought over his head against a rusty Paul Williams. He won't do it again.

That's gotta be the most close minded, nuthugging fanboy comment ever. The most feared fighter? He didn't get punished? I guess Quintana jumped 2 feet in the air and headbutted him on both eyes right? Those weren't hard landed punches on his face? What are you, his PR manager? He'll be a footnote at welter, nothing more. We wouldn't have lasted 5 rds with Cotto. Rematch? Bah, like people said, he deserves one just as much as Margarito deserved one. That's hype for you. He was outclassed by a good fighter, not even a great fighter. BTW, we got 3 of the 4 welter belts...

I love that Paul Williams D&*& Rider ... Quintana exposed him for what he really is ... Paul Williams is overrated ... and I guess the 2 cuts iver both eyes didn't show you that Williams got outboxed, outclasses and PUNISHED. Like other Post have said before Margo is a boxer who stays in front of you, that why Paul throw 100 puches around because Margo don't move .... Paul Williams vs the rest of the 147's will be worst for him, he can't handle Cotto's boddy attack and cotto can move better than Quitana if he wants, Floyd is the Best in the divsion and he moves 100x's better than quinata

Like I said, if Paul had thrown his usual number of punches and still lost, I would accept that he isn't what I thought. He wasn't throwing his jab nearly as sharp as it was against Tony M. Or as often. The fluidity wasn't there. The head movement and the crafty footwork weren't there. He didn't respect Quintana enough as a puncher, and it showed. I've seen Paul enough to know that he should have won this fight. Quintana can't do this again, I promise you that.

He didn't just mysteriously not throw his usual average of about 1000. Quintana's left hand made him reluctant to throw punches.

Much credit to the WBO for putting this fight together, a rematch is necessary if there was no clause. I will never understand why the WBO is not considered as the big4! The WBC puts together for eg. Lewis v Tyson or Mayweather v Hatton? They are mismatches!
