Mayweather is VERY hard to hit let alone get scoring points on and Williams will be punching air all night long. Mayweather is also very accurate and a lot faster than Williams. I don't see this fight being much trouble for Mayweather like a lot of you claim it would be.

I think Cotto would do better vs Mayweather than Williams would but maybe Williams would hold the edge in a Cotto-Williams fight. Styles make fights and I don't neccesarily think Williams' style would do that well against Mayweather. Cotto is also very capable of beating Williams though, with his long torso Cotto's body shots would be the key to victory in that fight.
And How does cotto have a better chance? LOL He's alot faster then cotto as well.

Paul is definitely freakishly tall for the division, but it's not like he doesn't have any athletisism. I agree that it's premature to say he would beat the likes of Cotto and Mayweather in the division, but I think he would be able to compete with them. We have to see him up against some of the better fighters in the division to truly gauge where he's at.

Cotto is a lot faster than people think and he proved that against Judah and Mosely. He also punches a lot harder than Williams and his defence is tighter.

of course williams can compete with floyd and cotto but everyone makes it seem like he will demolish cotto and will beat floyd easy.williams has no power to keep cotto at bay and he punches to much and gives up his height that gives floyd alot of counterpunching oppertunities

It amazes me how often Cotto's handspeed is underrated. He isn't Sugar Ray Leonard, but he is much faster than average.

No he didn't all he proved was that he can box, throw the jab, and run the last rounds. And whats the point of punching harder if you cant hit your target? They both have equal chance to beat may. Although I lean more towards williams just because of his height and reach.

It's always going to be someone. Margarito never lived up to the hype. Williams may or may not live up to it, but with Mayweather and Cotto hitting another stratosphere there's always going to be someone that fans of the underdog want to claim is the diamond in the rough. Tonight will only go part of the way to proving just how good Williams is.

I like Williams, but he gets hit a lot. That's something that he's going to have to fix if he wants to beat Floyd Mayweather.

With his reach he'll never have too lol and true it is about who's the better boxer but with that reach and heigh it just gives him a bigger advantage over pretty much anyone.
