    Is Mayweather's resume hand-picked?

I think it is. The perfect example is his next opponent.

Oscar De la Hoya was a great fighter back in the 90s, but has only one win in the past four years. He's well past his best...

No I don't think it is handpicked, but now a days it seems he fights whoever brings him the most money.

When he started, no. He would fight whomever and wherever to prove his worth. Nowadays he just chooses whoever brings the most money.

Ever since Castillo Mayweather has been all about ducking and dodging, picking and choosing.

            Jose Luis Castillo x2
            ODLH
            Ricky Hatton
            Zab Judah
            Carlos Hernandez
            Diego Corrales
            Jesus Chavez
            Phillip Ndou
            Arturo Gatti

I would call that a pretty impressive record.

Of course but not always, the recipe is hand pick until you get an impressive record then fight for a title, then hand pick ...repeat as necessary until you are the best fighter ever then fight old big name fighters until you milk it for all its worth.

                Biased thread.
Make an objective one and maybe people will participate.

which leads to diluted talent pool. but i respect his hustle and his accomplishments.
