That Alphonso Gomez is going to beat Cotto. I know that it sounds very dumb and I am already expecting the hate. our gonna say that I dont nkow boxing and lah lah lah but I just think he is going to win. He has gotten better and better throughout his career. I really like the way that he knows how to move side to side and not straight back. I also think that he has all the fundamentals down almost perfect. Call it a hunch or whatever , but for some reason I think he will win. He is the classic underdog with nothing to lose who can go balls to the wall and Cotto is is the classic fighter that has everything to lose. IDK, I cant explain it but I hope that I am right.

It's not as dumb or impossible as most would think. I've seen a few very established fans of the sport who really know their **** picking Gomez, so it's not a "I hate Cotto" type of thing.

He is very polished.. But he doesn't have the raw talent and nasty bite of a guy like Cotto. You can't train that sort of combative killer instinct no matter how much you train.

I have a feeling it will be a tough fight. I am one of the people that thinks Gomez is a bum. But I re-watched the Gatti and Tackie fights. Saw alot of control and some power. Saw some above average boxing and ring intellegence. So I am re-evaluating my thoughts on Gomez. BUT, dude has only had three 8 rounders and 2 10 rounders. Will be interesting to see how this will play out.

I think he does MUCH MUCH MUCH better then anyone expects him to. But he has a soft body and after or 7 rounds of a really good war, He will fade and tire and get beat up really badly until the fight is stopped by round 9
