If he get's K.O.ed again he might as well go back to Arkansas & hang it up to avoid ending up like his cousin Meldrick!

I was talking more in terms of the more skilled boxer beating the one dimensional opponent convincingly, which is what will happen, take my word for it.

My friend, you are clearly not familiar with the great undefeated super middleweight force that is Sven Ottke.

Maybe but HBO isnt like the UFC Ive never seen them do it. If they didnt cut Gatti they wouldnt cut JT, he would be a gatekeeper at the very least.

why would they cut gatti? People loved to watch him take beatings, time and time again. Gatti was loved by most. Taylor... not so much.

Let me first say that, I think it was a huge mistake for Taylor to take this rematch right after getting KO’d by Pavlik. I think Taylor would have benefitted immensely from a couple tune-up fights before getting back in with the heavy fisted “Ghost.”

As for the thread question: If Taylor fights a hard fight but is KO’d regardless than I think he could fight on. If he gets totally blown out, then I think it’s ‘quit time’ or at least a 1-2 year layoff from the sport…

If he gets KOd again I say he should become a monk and go to the mountians of China and reflect until he can restore his mojo.

i think he is going to 68 regardless of what happens! even in loss he should still fight on! no shame in losing to the champion! taylor is a good fighter, and the sport needs him! he can still beat many top guys!
