    Fanboy Admission Thread!

Everyone has been guilty of being a fanboy or hugger at one time or another in their love of boxing. Here's a chance to admit any times you may have convinced yourself of nonsense out of love for your fighter. To this day I am still a bit of a Pavlik fanboy. Sometimes this makes it difficult to discern their talents. I almost had myself convinced Hatton was gonna beat PBF at one point.. Share.

No disrespect but I cant find myself being blindly fanatic of any other human being, more so another grown man. BUT, I was really sad when Pac humiliated Erik Morales. Seeing Erik sitting down shaking his head, "No mas" was hard to watch.

I was a huge Tyson fan as a kid. I used to see him around town. I'm from Vegas and the city was much smaller then, so it wasn't unusal. So it was cool to have your boxing hero live right close.

I guess I got really lucky that there wasn't an internet for me to hug his nuts and embarrass myself. I guess it would have been even worse if I would have approached him and told him how incredible I thought he was. Considering I was a child at the time, I might have been eaten.

...and Hagler too, but that's not embarrassing to me.

Gerald McClellan wincing in agony after Benn knocked him down always makes me smile.

i used to think Pavlik in the ring with Calzaghe would be auto destruction of Calzaghe.. Now I realize there are a ton of tricky variables to consider.

as a kid everyone thought Tyson was invincible I think.. He was Iron Mike and you take a name like that seriously when you're little.. plus he was undefeated and mean.

I am a self admitting pavlik hugger! BUT, i am not a blind fanatic who refuses to see his faults! i know he is not on the level of hagler or the greats as some state! He has many faults, and has much to learn, and i can see this and i will not over hype him! i acknowledge his limitations! He has youth on his side, and is already champ. the sky is the limit for him, and he will continue to prove many wrong! i see him beating everyone at mw, but i know he is not ready for a kessler, or joe c! only time will tell if he will ever be on that level!
