I don’t expect anything less than a ‘highlight reel’ KO by Sam Peter. Peter’s got to be training his balls off, like he did against James Toney in their rematch, in an effort to avoid what happened to him against Mccline…

I read a recent interview with Vitali who said that he wishes Maskaev all the best to win because he wants to fight him next, after Maskaev was telling everybody how he knocked him out in the amateurs.

I doubt it's going to happen though, I think Maskaev will get knocked out.

Vitali vs Peter would be more interesting to me.

Think about Peter vs Wlad if Peter knocks Vitali out. It would be huge.

Vitali will probably hold everything up by getting injured and if he did get to fight peter he would probably get injured during the fight.

Aren't you a bit too hard on Vitali, Duffgun?

yea...he boasts the same thing before every fight including the toney fights and he's still yet to knock out a top 15 heavyweight. maskeav does have a suspect beard and is getting old,,,if it takes him longer than 6 rounds I'll have to laugh again at his overrated punching power

the chances are slim vitali even makes it to the ring let alone through an entire fight without something popping on him. he's just to injury prone anymore

No, Duffgun's assessment is right on point. Vitali has a history of canceling fights due to injuries, case closed...

However, I would propose if a fight with Peter/Maskaev and Vitali were to be made, the number 1 contender should be put on 'stand by' and would take Vitali's place if he were to pull out...
