The difference is that Cotto fighting Gomez is just a precursor to Cotto/Margo. Not only that Cotto will most likely fight 3 times in 2008. Mayweather/DLH is a precursor to what? How many times will Mayweather fight in 2008? its a ****ing joke.

And guys, to answer the question that started this thread, it is advantageous for Floyd to fight Oscar. And if you're wondering what it is, Im sure Floyd would be happy to give you the 25 million dollar reasons he had for the last fight, and now the rematch. Floyd also believes he can win, so there no virtually no risk, high reward for him. Now, granted you, the fans, might not like his decision, and we are all entitled to our opinions. But the rematch will be the most viewed fight in the sport this year, he will make around the same amount of multiple millions this year, and the WW division will ultimately produce a single challenger for him to eventually fight. All in all, we are just fans. He is the boxer. He had a right to navigate his career in the direction that he wants. We can offer our opinions in forum threads til we are blue in the face. But lets not pass judgment. Just my 2 cents. I know boxing.

theres nothing to figure out here, you'd be happy with a odlh / floyd rematch, as would floyd - and the differing school of thought stands on the notion that floyd should be focused on securing a fight with a bona fide guy in cotto.

2 sides, you're just picking the side that ultimately speaks to floyd's interests and not the general boxing public's view.

Horus thinks that for some reason, we don't understand why Floyd is fighting DLH. EVERYONE understands why, but the difference between us, the fans, and you, a groupie, is that we're not happy with it because he is the best and should be fighting the best.
