Quintana has a good chance. He's gonna have to make Paul miss and be in his bread basket(chest) a lot. He's not outboxing Paul IMO. He needs to outwork him or slow him/and his punch output down.

I expect the fight to be a unanimous decision for Paul Williams. I don't think either has enough power to take the other out.

I would be thrilled if Quintana won, but he doesn't stand a chance. I don't know if any welterweights do. Paul Williams has no skill, special speed, or any real power, but the fact that he is ridiculously huge and will never stop punching make him unbeatable at 147. I hate watching him. How do you throw ten billion punches and still be boring? I don't know who here plays Madden, but remember when Michael Vick was at his peak in the game? He could light anyone up and there was nothing you could do to stop him, so anyone picking Atlanta was always going to win even though they weren't particularly good. That is how I feel about Paul Williams. He's cheap!

quintana was humiliated and demoralized in the cotto fight, i just dont think anything better than an out of his mind effort will beat williams, i just dont think he has it in him, he hasnt had a tough win since to build his confidence back

Williams is a good fighter with no special skill, this will be a real close fight and Quinatana has a great shot at beating Williams.

That could all be true but there also could be a good flip side to it. The flip side is that because Cotto knocked him out so quick, Williams might feel pressure to repeat the same. I could see Williams feeling bad if its round 6 and there's no KO in sight and he may not be dominating him. That could start to make him feel a little bad and then start fighting like crap to go for the KO. or the longer Quintana stays in it the more of a shot he has because Williams will feel like he's letting people down and then start making the fight alot harder then it has to be just because he had this expectation of an early devestating KO

Williams is touted as the next great fighter becase of his hight/reach and activity level but his best win so far is Margy so he is stil untested vs the best. While Quinana isnt the best he is still way better than most opponents Williams has faced.

I just can't see Quintana pulling off the upset in this fight. I think he gets outworked by Williams high punch out put, and maybe stoped mid to late rounds. I'll say nine for the hell of it. Quintana would need to catch Paul with a clean shot, but even then I don't think he has the power for the KO of Williams. But to answer the OP yes everyone has a Shot.

Doesn't sound like you think very much of Williams then, lol.

On the same token, a lot of Quintana's success is his ability to use angles and his slick southpaw stance against orthodox fighters, well he loses that advantage agains a freak southpaw like Williams. It's a nice thought, but Quintana doesn't have the physicality to take over against Williams, doesn't hit hard enough, etc. I thought Sharmba caught Williams with some bombs, right hook if I recall and Williams didn't even blink... that's a big problem for the Q and props to Q for taking this fight when many other Welters wouldn't think of it.
