Those two might take the cake.

The fab 4 from that era was amazing.

I remember seeing that Roy Jones Jr highlight somewhere on this forum, someone had posted a highlight video of Roy Jones showing his best knockouts and 1 was a knockout of a fight where Richard Steele was a referee giving a guy who was clearly out more of a chance than what he gave Taylor who was on his feet by 5 and basically 2 seconds away from the final bell..

that **** was foul yo and no matter what anybody says yo your job as the referee is to hear that 10 second warning, it's your cue to know that it's about to be time to break that **** up so there's mistake number 1, number 2 is that his man was up by 5, had he just said "look at me" or "Meldrick if you don't respond I will stop it" or some ****ing **** Meldrick would have won.. there is NO excuse for Richard Steele, NONE. I apologize sincerely to the thread starter for even bringing up this argument because it's a very much debated argument on these boards but I just couldn't let that pass, Meldrick Taylor won that fight and Richard Steele was in the wrong..

out of respect for the thread starters thread I think that a GREAT 0 VS 0 fight is and always will be Ricardo Torres VS Miguel Cotto, the numbers in that fight was just amazing, every round there was a 10-8 for each fighter, it was just amazing, you didn't know who's 0 was going to go and was just on your seat the entire time.
Torres-Cotto was a hot fight b, ya mans almost lost that but he came back like a soulja. for Taylor Chavez theres a lot of dumb **** that went on. but wenI saw the fight, he ain't respond fam, and Steele asked him twice, thats knockout status. His corner is ****** for distracting him, and to make everything worst, Lou Duvas dum fat ass told Meldrick that he needed that round to win. Thats wat costed him the most imo.

But that stoppage was controversial and always will be, I thot Steel did the right thing, but I can see where his debaters come from

and some how people say cotto has no chin. like trinidad, he seems to continuously get off the canvas and stop the other fighter.

how does someone deduct he has no chin from his performances? i mean, at the time of the fight what was torres 28-0 w/ 27 kos or some **** like that?

Because he got hurt badly by Chop Chop, nearly KO'd in that fight. I think the move to 147 helped his chin out a lot.

Trinidad's knockdowns seemed to be from bad balance more often than not.

Cotto is legitimately hurt in a lot of his knockdowns.

But Cotto is amazing because his powers of recovery are incredible. He can get hit by a steel pipe and be okay 20 seconds later. Unreal.

yea buts thats having heart not chin. If you have a chin that means you can take shots and not fall.

If you have heart that mean you get up from the knockdowns.

I can see where you getting at tho.

With Tito tho I don't think it was a chin issue, more of a balance issue.
I think he got bad foot balance so if he get hit he'll fall cuz of footing and not
and not cuz of beaing hurt

I respect your approach to my disagreement, a lot of of other cats would have been like "***** you buggin" and **** like that, coming out all crazy so I definitely respect you.

the Cotto and Torres fight was crazy, Very unpredictable and I just truly had no idea who would win, at that point even though honestly I stood by Cotto I was VERY nervous of who I had winning, it wasn't like Trinidad-De La Hoya where even though the fight was big nobody got hurt but in here you had 2 fighters who were clearly BOTH hurt against each other, **** just had me tweaking the whole night nd whats real is that on that same night Wlad and Peter got it on in Atlantic City so that was another memorable, lopsided fight that was HIGHLY entertaining, I was just pleased with that card..

I truthfully don't understand that homie and that will always be bull**** to me because Cotto is and will always be a threat, someone who can take it and dish it too ya dig, anybody who says he doesn't have a chin is crazy especially when this fight took place at a weight where his chin wasn't his only factor ya dig, it took place at a weight where his weight hurt him too, where OTHER things other than chin got in the way and he not only overcame that but won by KO, the man is a beast.
