Taylor caught Pavlik with a perfect elbow just before the knockdown, and as Kelly showed, he wasn't that hurt, so yeah, I'd have been a little upset.

Look, Im a guy who always wants the fight to go on. Ive been criticized on here more then anyone for saying a fight was stopped too early and I wouldve felt the same about this one if it had happened that way but Ive seen alot of fights just like this get stopped so I wouldnt have been shocked at all. Taylor hit Pavlik with like a hundred punch combo to get the knock down so that already looks bad into a refs mind. Pavlik even dropped his hands in that process and didnt punch back at all in that whole combo. Then he gets up and Taylor jumps on him again and sends him staggering accross the ring with basically his back to Taylor. A ton of refs wouldve stopped that nowdays

this particular fact trumps ANY argument made by ANYONE that thinks the fight should had been stopped at that point..































































Neither Taylor or his camp protested or even COMMENTED on the lack of stoppage. Their opinion is the most important.

Taylor is a man not a punk. How would that make him look? I just saw the preview for the rematch and in it he talks about how any other ref wouldve stopped it but he doesnt make excuses

All Taylor has done since the fight is make excuses, he blames Steward, his conditioning and now says any other ref would have stopped it? what an ass. He should just admit he blew it.

Taylor shouldn't have needed a dodgy stoppage he should have finished Pavlik himself when had the chance. The fact is... he couldn't.
