Floyd vs. Gatti

You guys are saying that Gatti had been in all these wars when Floyd got to him and he was a has been at the time and Floyd picked him even though he was a bum.

At the same time Buddy McGirt was named trainer of the year for his work with Tarver and Gatti.
(nobody gets called trainer of the year for training a bum. )

Leading up to the fight with Floyd Gatti had not lost a fight in years and was on a hot streak and they had mentioned that he had new life thanks to Buddy and had not had a cut in a fight in over two years.

Leading up to the fight with Floyd here is a list of his wins

Fight 2 and 3 with Ward in which he won

Gianluco Branco who 32-0 when he fought Gatti for the vacant belt

Cotto would later go on to fight Branco and nobody says nothing about Cotto getting some of Gattis leftovers

Leonard Dorrin 22-0 Gatti finished him with a body shot

The tune up for Floyd was Jesse James Leija

After Floyd beat Gatti he went up to welteweight and KO'd the undefeated 5th ranked fighter that Danish Pastry Dammgard.

So what is the point in lying about Gatti being all beat up before he got to Floyd?
