Anyway, The one thing that has annoyed me about Hatton recently is his comments regarding Witter. Despite what some think, Witter would be the biggest fight right now for Hatton. Witter is deserving of it to. He has beaten some good opposition in Vivian Harris, N'Dou, Corley, Lynes, Kotelnik and only has one loss very early against the unbeaten Zab Judah.
But, and this is what annoys me about Hatton, Witter has the WBC belt so it would be a big double Brit unification title fight. Witter has been calling out Hatton for a while now, much the same as Hatton was doing to Mayweather when he was calling Mayweather boring, no fans etc etc. Now, Hatton is saying that "if you keep insulting me publicly, you'll never get a shot at my title" ??? What in god's name is the deal with that?!?!
So he goes around calling out Mayweather, publicly bagging him and insulting him and yet when someone who deserves a shot at him more than he deserved a shot at Mayweather does the same thing he backs down under this pathetic excuse of "You can't call me names"?
This would be the biggest fight that Hatton could make right now. They're both from the same country and both have legitimate titles and Witter is the number one contender. The done thing in boxing to try and initially promote a fight is to call out the fighter as Witter is doing and as Hatton has done so why is using the excuse "If you keep calling me names, I won't give you a title shot"? It's really pretty ****ing pathetic. I remember him saying something about if Mayweather kept ducking him that meant he was a coward and that as the mandatory and number one contender Tszyu had to give him a shot. Now he's playing this hypocritical weak game and not giving the most deserving fighter the chance.
