Untrue story.

Since I've joined these boards, first it was all the smack talkers saying how DLH was gonna beat Floyd, then it was Hatton **** talkers. Once the fight is over, you all disappear for a minute. Now here we go again with the Cotto trolls. No one learns. And this comin from someone who isn't even that big of a PBF fan, just someone who knows boxing and appreciates his skills.

cotto has only been hurt twice and down once floyd has been down twice and both were not counted, and hatton aint **** floyd should of beat him in 5 instead it took him 10 rounds to beat a wrestler and floyd was not doing that much from rounds 2-8.

i think that of all those fighters that floyd has beaten, cotto beats them as well. this includes castillo, corrales, chavez, gatti, hatton, gonzales and yes, this includes a past his prime and weight ODLH - whom floyd just beat by SD.

i put in the above to substantiate my take and keep this on a level playing field. yes we've seen mayweather toy with the likes of chavez, baldomir and gatti - but would cotto truly not do the same? of course he would. you can safely derive that from what we saw in cotto against gomez. we saw mayweather struggle against castillo and had his hairy moments against odlh. this is called being human, mayweather is not that nasty that he just blasts cotto at any point in their careers. prime for prime mayweather, as if this version of mayweather is not prime means nothing, he's fought the calibre opponents that to me don't suggest any huge favor for either man.

however, my take is this. with cotto's ring generalship (i know that mayweather has this too) and way he can switch up stances and his great timing and deceptive speed and his strength and heart to boot. i see the winner of this fight to be deemed the ****en man. i wouldn't be surprised in the LEAST to see floyd giving cotto his props on winning a fight against him. i mean you can't deny cotto's train right now, and if he beats margarito. watch it.

why is it so hard to believe that cotto beats mayweather?

the decision was split but if u know boxing u know floyd won around 8 or 9 rounds in his fight against de la hoya.. floyd would beat anyone cotto has faced and probably do it more convincingly.. i dont think floyd would struggle against malignaggi, ricardo torres, or alfonso gomez.. he would take out mosley as well.. cotto has beaten some of floyd's leftovers and i agree he would beat most of the fighters floyd has faced.. i think depending at which weight they fought at he would have a tough time with Corrales, Castillo, and against Jesus chavez.. cotto struggled with judah and had to low blow the guy several times to gain an advantage, he almost got koed by corley and many others.. cotto is a good fighter and has great survival instincts but even with that said floyd is still the better boxer, and overall fighter.. it will be a good fight and anything can happen.. but i favor the better fighter floyd

either u are very biased or do not watch that much boxing.. cotto has been hurt on more than 2 occasions.. he got hurt by corley, got hurt atleast 3 times by torres, judah stunned him 3 times, mosley hurt him, and abdulaev stunned him.. whenever cotto gets stunned he has to revert to low blowing his opponents in order to buy time which is smart but dirty.. hatton isnt the greatest technical fighter in the world but he's a good fighter.. for u to say floyd wasnt do anything from rounds 2-8 shows your lack of awareness when watching fights. floyd was going to the body during clinches, roughing hatton up and giving him jabs and straight right hand leads whenever hatton would try to come in.. cotto's a good fighter and fought decent opposition but mayweather is a better fighter and fought better opposition
