because they weren't going toe to toe.......look, i defend floyd only when guys like you talk about what he doesn't do or who he is scared of...........i respect floyd, cotto and margs............you don't............and fighting backwards against someone who can beat you is far different than doing that against 36 year old shane.........we'll see how cotto does going backwards against margs..........

Pitting the likes of any of the current welters against Floyd Joy Sinclaire in the hopes that "finally this is the one to beat Floyd", is mearly an exercise in mental ************.

No doubt Cotto is younger and undefeated with a much better chance to upset and hand Floyd his first loss in many years.

But, what it will ultimately come down to is, in my opinion, the mental fortitude. The ring smarts that other fighters who faced Floyd were unable to implement to beat Floyd.

To beat Floyd at his own game, Cotto is going to have to make an effort way beyond his current and past performances.

Floyd has the ring intelligence that throws other fighters off their game at unpredictable moments during a bout.

Cotto is a skilled, prime, and talented fighter. Of course he has a chance to beat Floyd. That being said after that bout you won't see an spanish speaking users on this board for a while.

Cotto did display some decent boxing skills against Shane to his credit. So that should help him gain points if and when they meet.

But I get the same feeling the silence could be deafening around here if Cotto loses.
