Is Baldomir's chin overrated?

Damn that was pretty messed up. Mercer/Morrison was pretty bad too.

As for the thread, I think Baldo has a pretty serious chin, though I'd have to see him against some bigger punchers first. Problem is he's getting pretty old.

The worst lack of stoppage ever was when Emile Griffith killed Benny Paret... He hit him with 19 (I think) clubbing, downward shots... Paret was dead before he left the ring.

Yeah I saw a clip of that a few weeks ago on tv. As I remember Paret had questioned Griffith's sexuality and Emile was not too pleased about it. The ropes were the only thing holding him up as Griffith continued to pumile him. I don't think Griffith ever fought the same after.

I would only recommend it to people that think refs stop fights too early (occasionaly they do), it's a fun sport to watch, but we don't need any more deaths or people crippled for life like McClellan (when that Benn fight should have been stopped in the first round.)

no way is he a pillow puncher. baldy has an all time great chin. mayweather didnt try to hurt him to much but if he really wanted to he could of. Mayweather knocked out hatton who was never hurt that bad or knocked out ever. mayweather knocked him down twice in that fite when hatton was only down once before that his whole career. Mayweather hits very hard when he wants to.

Collazo had Hatton hurt real bad. If that fight had gone another round it would have been over.

He didn't Ko Mosley, but he did knock him down.

That is one that Smoger really should have stopped. He walked to the wrong corner after 2 knockdowns.

You can be pretty sure that Mosley was fighting with a concussion since the 2nd round of that fight.
