Torres is a really good strong fighter and he gave Cotto a very competitive match, but he would lose horribly against Cotto should they ever meet again. Yes it was a 3 week notice, but he had just come out of a very easy 2 rounder. Furthermore, Cotto was also at a disadvantage because although he was training, he was not training for a fighter like Torres, I believe he was training for Arnoutis or Holt, which are both completely different fighters.

At this point it is a moot point. Cotto is at 147 and would demolish a fighter of Torres' abilities. Cotto has grown as a legit CHAMPION and deserves a fight with Floyd Mayweather. The real question is why wont Floyd fight Cotto??

Unlike Cotto, Povetkin is NOT a champion or has ever been a champion, Cotto on the other hand has been a champion since 2004. After Floyd, Cotto is the Next best p4p not DLH and that is why Floyd should be fighting Cotto, DLH is nothing and hasnt accomplished anything besides beat 1 old, mediocre fighter (Mayorga) in over 4.5 years.
