Mayweather/DLH II is as significant as Jones/Trinidad

Ultimately this fight does nothing for boxing but fleece the fan for another 60 bucks. I invited at least a dozen people to my home for the first fight, real fans, casual fans, and just plain old heavy drinkers looking for a place to booze.

Not a single person enjoyed the fight, nobody wants to see it again, i dont want to pay for it either. Everyone also wanted to know, hoe the **** did DLH win on a scorecard and who was that ****** who scored it??

Neither guy seems to have any intention of furthering a legacy besides PPV sales records and $$$$$$$ in the pocket. So why does anyone in their right mind actually want to see this.

To be perfectly honest i think the RJJ/Tito fight was more significant because Roy Jones does actually seem determined to fight a top P4P fighter in his next match to back up his win. Floyd nor DLH have given any indication that they plan on fighting again after their rematch, much less doing it against someone with a chance of beating them.

DLH is a joke, he is undermining the whole damn sport and im sick and ****in tired of his ass. Floyd Mayweather isnt much better but at least he wouldnt stoop to the point of fighting Forbes.

I will look forward to Oscar and Floyd about as much as Gomez/Cotto, and not nearly as much as Cintron/Margarito.

U cannot compare Jones/Trinidad vs Mayweather/DLH II,thats going over the top

Jones is 39,Trinidads like 35,Trinidad was fighting at LIGHT HEAVY,and looked puggy,Jones was huge compared to him

Floyd is the P4P no.1 fighter on the planet,Oscar is boxings biggest star,Oscar gave a good account of himself in the first 6 rounds in the fight (which where exciting) He's gna have a tune-up fight before the rematch,so he wont have no ring rust,he'll might actually come in the ring even better then the first fight, not to mention Mayweather SR is training him and can provide him with what tactics he needs to use
Mayweather aint gona be fighting at all until September,so if anything,Oscar will be more prepered, even tho Floyd is in the gym everyday, its dif from being in the ring,it could be closer, but it also could be a boxing lesson from Floyd,no doubt his father in Oscars corner is gona want him to put on the best performance of his life

floyd will beat the **** out of de la hoya, no question about it

floyd is only getting better at what he does, de la hoya has been on the downhill for a long time and hasnt won a sigificant fight in a long long time.

The sport of boxing will be the winner for all the press the will get especially if Floyd Sr. trains Oscar.

Yeah your probably right. There will probably be another 24/7 and you know that will be one of the subjects discussed a lot. It is probably good for boxing because of all the casual fans it will bring in, but for us real fans it's a waste of time as there are other fights out there that are better.

Atleast Jones-Trinidad had some mystique to it, though the mystique quickly dissipated when the two got in the ring. Mayweather-De La Hoya II has no drama whatsoever going in.

Oscar showed through six he could win, stopped using his jab and lost by a split decision, and not to mention was one point away from a draw, i dont get why this rematch is hated so much. Its obviously the toughest and biggest money fight for Floyd so it makes perfect sense. He had his easy fight with Hatton that so many thought he would lose, when in actuality Oscar is the bigger, stronger, smarter boxer and poses much more problems than one dimensional Ricky Hatton.
