He beat Tarver on points after shedding the weight. In any case
it was under 20lbs that he lost, plus he was knocked out by Tarver a year after the Ruiz fight, and again 4 months after that. You cant use weight as an excuse.

So which of the Woods-Johnson fights are considered bad decisions?

I saw on boxrec, Woods's manager said he would pay for Johnson's expenses, saying, "a champion shouldn't have to pay for this stuff." This was the first fight which was a draw.

But I thought it was the last fight that was considered controversial... the won where Woods got the decision.

Johnson made a fuss of the first fight, but I had that a legitimate draw. Been a long time since I saw it though.

The only fight they had that wasn't fought on equal terms was the second, which was a crap performance (his words) by Clinton and he lost the decision.

The third fight I had 115-113 to Johnson, but Clinton won it. (In fairness, it was the UK judge that gave it to Johnson, the two US judges that gave it to Clinton... and Frank Warren had brought Johnson over to showcase him to viewers as an opponent for Calzaghe. Clinton works for a rival promoter, so it was not Frank's desired outcome).
