actually, I think Rahman fought Sanders before he fought Lewis, so that might be an explanation, because maybe he said that directly after the Sanders fight. in other words, Lewis hadnt ripped his head off at the time he said Sanders was the hardest puncher.

still, Oleg knocked him out cold and flying out of the ring and Tua also finished him off. so hes probebly still lying, and only saying Sanders hit the hardest because, after all, Rahman did end up beating him.
although interestingly enough, I think Rahman was winning both the Maskaev and Tua fights by a lot both of those times he got knocked out.

lewis caught him more cleanly then sanders did. I dont believe sanders ever landed a clean straight left on rahman,,,,it was actually an uppercut that dropped him

tua and oleg caught him late in the fight. most of sanders power was gone after 3 rounds. he was extremely dangerous for those 1st 3 rounds but after that he was just a heavy bag with arms and legs

I remember reading during the live chat on another site with the word talk in the name, when Rahman was getting ready to fight Vitali, someone asked who was the hardest puncher he faced and Rahman said Lewis.

Sanders is to old now if he had tried harder and built on his good athletic ability he would have been better.

I really think Rahman doesn't think Lewis' punch was the hardest because it hit him so fast and it knocked him out in a split second. Probably didn't feel **** at the time. Or doesn't remember feeling the pain.

Kind of like Jermain Taylor saying that Pavlik wasn't the hardest puncher he'd ever faced. But who else knocked him out?

Did he really say that? Who in his career hit him harder than Pavlik? Spinks? Wright?

I think he was just trying to discredit Kelly at the time, he didn't mention who did, just that he'd been hit harder before.
