Hatton has the 140 IBO, but he has The Ring also.

The IBO is only good when it is with another one of the major 4, or The Ring belt.

Yeah, my point is if someone just has the IBO, without any of the 4 major belts, or The Ring belt, then it doesn't have much weight.

        I'd also say Lucian Bute...

Does anyone consider him the champion of 168 besides the IBF?

It's not as bad as Mundine who won a 'regular' WBC belt against Sam Soliman because Kessler was considered a 'super' champion.

Calzaghe is obviously the real champion but when he goes up in weight to LHW, Bute, Kessler and Mundine should decide who will be the number 1 in the SMW division.

            WBA, not WBC.

And I refuse to recognize any of the WBA regular champions as champions either... because their own organization doesn't even recognize them as the real champion. What a sham that is.

Yeah it was WBA, got it confused with WBC again. Oh well, it's not like it matters, the real belt is worn by Calzaghe.

Also to the people who said they don't recognize Buster Douglas as the real champion, why not? Buster beat top contenders Greg Page, Trevor Berbick and Oliver McCall to get his title shot and then knocked the f*** out of the seemingly unstoppable Tyson.

It doesn't matter if Douglas came to his next fight as a fat man, he won the real belt from the real, unified, undisputed, linear champion Mike Tyson.

Paper champions like the WBO HW champions in the 90's Bentt, Morrison and Hide are the ones that shouldn't be rated.

David Diaz and Joel Casamayor aren't real champions.
Diaz because he didn't beat the top fighter for the belt and Casamayor because he won a bs decision against Santa Cruz. Casamayor will get his recognition back if he fights and beats Santa Cruz in a rematch.
