Malignaggi Potshots De La Hoya, Talks Hatton

In a recent interview with BoxingScene.com's Jose Aguirre, IBF junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (24-1, 5KOs) discussed the rumors of fighting Oscar De La Hoya on May 3 and a possible clash with the biggest moneymaker at 140-pounds, Ricky Hatton. [details]

You gotta be kidding me right? Paulie got knocked around by Herman Ngoudjo and he thinks he's going to beat Dela? LOL

Paulie doesn't have the tools that are required to beat Dela. Paulie wants a payday and thats fine but as far as him beating him he's out of his mind.

I heard all this hype about Paulie. He talks himself up. But i saw against Ndoujou hes got not much in the ring at all. Both Hatton and De La Hoya stop him rather early. This guy needs a dose of reality for now.

i think hes the type of fighter that gets up for big fights and slacks with others such as Ndoujou. I think Paulie is a good enough boxer to beat Ricky, though if a ref lets him hold as in the Tszyu fight Ricky wins. Oscar would be too big and strong for Paulie and is just as good as boxer so I dont think Paulie would pose much a threat, which is why he was being considered for a tune-up

let's give paulie some chance... of talking about fighting oscar. dreaming is not bad anyway. he already knew why oscar is not going to fight him. he has no credential to sell in the PPV!

The fight is on regular HBO and either Steve Forbes or Paulie will get the fight, most likely the person willing to take the least money.

i think paulie outboxes ricky and manages to keep hatton off him, i think that hatton is pretty disheartened after his first loss (especially such a devastating KO) and paulie will be too fleet footted for him winning a fairly comfortable, although not easy UD, agaionst oscar though its a diffferent story oscar is more skilled and hits alot harder and will hunt down paulie and manage to stop him IMO, although iif he is too slow footed at his age now, paulie wins a UD

I am going to take your words. I under rated Pauli in my previous post. Sure hes talented. I think maybe he could beat Ricky. But RIcky is favourite to me.

well i agree with your first statement if it helps justify what you were thinking, I'm iffy on DLH stopping him but i'm sure he'd beat him
