I didn't find the Taylor-Hopkins fights particularly difficult to score though.

When Hopkins fought, he won the round... when he didn't Taylor won... For the most part... obviously that wasn't true every round.

I can imagine that being ringside in any of the Barrera-Morales fights would be extremely difficult to score compared to watching it on the television.

and it seems to me that the other issue is; when you are at a fight live you are obviously stationary and therefore can only see the fight from THAT angle. whereas the cameras are elevated and provide a much better vantage point.

i thought hopkins won the first and drew the second but now that taylor has been ko'd by pavlik it really seems to diminish the performance and significance of BOTH hopkins and taylor and their to fights?

I had Taylor winning both, but I am not what you would call a good judge.

I also don't think Hopkins is downgraded by Taylor's loss. Hopkins just showed that he is an idiot with those two fights, because he didn't ****ing even try to fight as many rounds as he should have. He won the rounds he fought... this was especially true in the first fight, but instead he choose to **** around for the first 8 rounds. The dumbest strategy I think I have ever seen by a fighter.

I do agree about the angles and what not... We always give Harold a hard time for his scoring, but I can understand that if **** is happening across the ring, then it is hard to see what is happening.

yeah, his typical style when he is in tough; too conservative and not take any risk.

the other thing is there always seems to be things that get in the way when watching fights live, ring ropes, turn buckles, corner men, fans, judges etc. so it can make you miss alot of what is going on...

Sometimes it can make a lot of difference. I've had different opinions of fights that I've seen live after watching a tape of them. And more importantly, the official judges are always watching it live.

What win does either fighter PW or AM have against an "A" level fighter?

IMO, Margarito is a B level fighter at best. And the fact that PW and Margarito had so much trouble with each other probably tells us all we need to know about both and that PW had all he could handle and barely got by a "B" fighter.

Who has PW beaten that has earned him a shot at Cotto, Mosley or Mayweather? We've already put the win against Margarito into perspective, Mathysse has been exposed and Mitchell was washed up long ago....
he proved himself to me.......what he did in the tony fight prepared him for any of the top welterweights.....i mean the guy was almost out on his feet in the later rounds and then steped up to the plate in the 12th not many can do that..... that is why i say he ready for anyone at ww.......he to me is the most feared ww now.....tony is second..... their styles are simialr they are both not hard hitters but can get you out of there with the 1000s of puches they throw....although tony is a little more wreckless but yea hes proven!!

This is true, and he is really careless on defense because of his physical attributes, which will hurt him in the long run. He's a good fighter, he's just getting hyped way too quick because of how unique he is.

Btw, Williams 8-4, maybe 7-5...he won.

He was pulling back with his hands down against Margarito.
