And could easily make the weight if he wanted to.

Unless he is the one boxer in the world who can't drop 7 pounds to make weight from his inbetween fight weights.

i do lol but Chris John is underated mostly because pretty much no one has actually seen him fight. I saw him fight live not against Marquez but much earlier in his career and watched him on TV in indonesia for the marquez fight hes a damn good champ. Marquez admitted it he belived he had won 5 rounds to 7 but marquez also go deducted two points so it would be a draw unless John won the rounds that Marquez low blowed him in (which he did) in which case it would be 5 to 7 get me?

Hey I'm no Floyd fan but Hatton needed him more than he needed Hatton. And he had just fought at 154 or 150 should I say. I was just saying......John is as good as they were. People are talking about him fighting Pac or JMM well I think he'd meet the same fate Hatton and Kessler did when they had a 40-0 type padded record. Couple names here and there but in a nutshell a blown up record.

Kessler's record wasn't padded; he had pretty much cleaned out 168 prior to Calzaghe and got beaten by a better man. Kessler is what he was before Cal: a very good fighter. Joe just might be a great one.

As to John, I thought he lost to JMM but he did well if you ignore arguments over the decision. Like Cal-Kess, losing to JMM doesn't mean John is a bad fighter. JMM is just a very good one.
