    my take on chambers-povetkin

in all honesty, i think eddie chambers is the better fighter, he is definitely more skilled.. when he decided to throw punches he won the exchanges.. i'm not dis*****g the decision, povetkin won, but i think it was on work rate alone.. chambers was waiting around looking to land one shot.. to me, he was too defensive minded, he fought way too safe, had he let his hands go and went after povetkin, i think he would've taken it.. basically, i think when it's all said and done, chambers will end up having the better career, he just needs to work on a few things

You're right one loss shouldn't hurt Chambers too much.

Chambers has no desire and lacks discipline. I watched interviews where he said that he never wanted to be a boxer but his father pushed him into it.

Whether he was tired or whether he just doesn't have it in him to step up his workrate, I don't know........either way he won't go beyond the level he is at now. To me he is like a Kirk Johnson......another talanted fighter who lacks desire. He showed up chubby and out of shape for his biggest fight against Vitali Klitschko for the WBC title and blew it. He probably would have lost anyway but not in 2 rds.

      That's where Chambers is heading
      .

Chambers didnt throw that much after the 6th round but had the better percentage rate in punch stats... Povetkin thru punches but missed alot and won on his work rate alone..... If it was a mayweather fight it doesnt matter his opponents work rate.. Mayweather is going to win by the punch stats. I dont think its very fair.

He's not that good. They both are soft. Sad state for the Heavyweights.

You are oversimplifying things my friend. Mayweather is not covering up standing in front of his opponents taking shots to the forearms and gloves all night. Winky does that and his face puffs up every fight but even he uses his jab to create distance from the other guy and make it look like he is scoring.

Chambers didn't do that and lost. You can't be serious with the floyd comparison. Some people use every situation to bash floyd.

            Random ****:

Example: "It's raining here today and I hate rain"

Hardcore Floyd critic: "It's floyd's fault, he has so much money and make it rain, it's not fair, he is a *****"

Difference being Floyd lands more punches overall. In this fight Povetkin landed more punches overall. Had Chambers kept up what he was doing the first 4 rounds or so, he would have easily won the fight. But Eddie stopped countering or jabbing as often as he was earlier, and Alex started to find his target more and more often as the fight wore on.

Last time I checked, the guy who won the fight is the better fighter...Povetkin won a decisive UD over Chambers, he is obviously the better fighter.

It really doesn't matter they both suck. Klitch could beat them both down at the same time there soft.

So because they can't beat the best heavyweight in the world they suck? You do realize that their record is 44-0 against other heavyweights, who must REALLY suck.
